Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress most well-known for her roles in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her showbiz career early. She played lead roles in television dramas as early as 16 years old. After her critically acclaimed role in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. The film won an Oscar and won critical and commercial success. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous important international and national productions. This includes the British biographical feature Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as other.
